Description: This class picks up where the Advanced Part class leaves off, and goes into detail about how to achieve complex shapes using all the tools available. In this class we also walk the student through surface modeling techniques and the interchange between solids and surfaces. There are many creative example parts on a CD that accompanies the class material. The topics covered in this course are:

  • Curves - 2D/3D splines, intersection, projected and composite curves
  • Sweeps, Lofts - set up, best practice, tricks to achieve common shapes
  • Solids only functions - deform, dome, shape, delete face
